On Friday, November 6, 2026, the Friends of the Base Borden Military Museum invite community members, veterans, serving military personnel, families, local businesses, and supporters of military heritage to join us for A Night at the Museum, a signature fundraising gala celebrating the 110th anniversary of Base Borden.

For more than a century, Base Borden has played a vital role in Canada’s military story. Since its establishment in 1916 as Camp Borden, it has trained generations of Canadian service members and has grown into Canada’s largest military training establishment. The base’s history is deeply connected to the surrounding communities and includes significant milestones such as its role in the development of military aviation in Canada and the beginnings of the Royal Canadian Air Force and Royal Canadian Armoured Corps.

As part of the Friends’ celebration of this historic milestone, guests will enjoy an elegant black-tie evening surrounded by the collections of the Base Borden Military Museum, featuring cocktails among historic vehicles, a seated dinner, guest speakers, and unique fundraising opportunities. Together, we will honour the individuals, families, units, and stories that have shaped 110 years of service, leadership, innovation, and community.

Proceeds from the evening directly support the Friends of the Base Borden Military Museum, helping preserve and share Canada’s military heritage through artifact conservation, educational programming, exhibitions, and support for the museum’s collection of more than 20,000 artifacts.
