The Friends of the Base Borden Military Museum is a charitable organization founded in 1993, and has been supporting the Base Borden Military Museum through fundraising, volunteer time and special project support ever since.
The Friends are made up of a diverse group of people, including members of the Canadian Armed Forces (current and retired), community members, local business people and educators, all dedicated to honouring the history and heritage of CFB Borden and the wide variety of units, schools and people who have lived and worked at Borden.
The Friends of Base Borden Military Museum is committed to preserving Base Borden’s legacy by sharing the stories of our Canadian Troops and their heroic actions and commemorating those who fought to create the country we know today.

As a registered charity, our mandate is to support the activities and objectives of the Base Borden Military Museum (BBMM): to protect and promote our military heritage as it relates to Canadian Forces Base Borden since its inception in 1916.
As a registered charity, the Friends is driven by a Volunteer Board of Directors. From time to time, we will be striking Committees to support our work and move our mandate forward. If you are interested in lending us a hand, these are a few opportunities:

Manage social media, newsletters, and public relations.

Organize campaigns, donor outreach, and special events.

Support the museum team in community engagement opportunities.
